Donate Wigs to American Cancer Society

Did you know that you can donate your gently used and never-worn wigs to the American Cancer Society?

Doing something great in your community can be as easy as sending off your old wigs. Wig donations make a big difference in the lives of women battling cancer and those in treatment. To be a part of this amazing philanthropic program, just visit the American Cancer Society here and enter your zip code in the box that says ‘Find ACS in Your Community’. From there, you will learn where to send those wigs you never wore, wore once, and wigs that look barely-used. You can do something big in the fight against cancer with ACS.

Wigs in Action
Recently in December 2009, the American Cancer Society bestowed their highest honor, the Corporate Impact Award to Raquel Welch and parent company Hair U Wear for their contribution of more than $1 million dollars worth of wigs. This huge donation of wigs is distributed to women fighting cancer to help them cope with the challenge of a lifetime. Raquel Welch wigs help women look good, improve their self-esteem, and handle their treatment and recovery with greater confidence.
